Privacy Policy

If you use our app to submit a trash report, the picture of the trash you took, the location as reported by your phone, and any descriptive tags you selected about the trash will be uploaded to our server. All reported information will be used by our volunteers to manage the cleanup of the trash, and may also be included in publicly available summary reports. If you use our website to report trash, any pictures you upload, and any descriptions and/or tags will be used similarly.

If you use our website, we use cookies and server-side tracking to personalize your experience and track statistical and usage data.

If you use our app(s), we track installation, startup, and usage of the app(s), and track data related to your device. Unless you create an account, none of this data is related to your personal identifying information.

By default, trash reports are made anonymously. If you choose to create any account, your account information (login ID and/or chosen display name) will be stored and linked to any trash reports you submit.

We may share information about your trash reports with our land management partners (Forest Service, BLM, etc.) and include aggregated data about your reports in our publicly available reporting.

If you are one of our volunteers AND you create an account on our app(s), we may collect additional information relating to you volunteer service through the app.

If you are a volunteer and attend any of our events, photos of you volunteering may be shared with the public. If you do not want your photo shared, please advise a volunteer coordinator in advance of attending an event.
